Derek brings warmth, energy, and 12 + years of hands-on rehab experience to every visit. When he isn’t helping clients regain independence, you’ll find him with friends, family, and his dog, Theodore—usually exploring local parks around Surrey.

Experience
Derek earned his Occupational & Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma from Vancouver Community College in 2010, equipping him to work alongside physiotherapists and occupational therapists across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. He began his career at Peace Arch Hospital, delivering five years of progressive outpatient rehabilitation before moving to Queens Park Care Centre’s Stroke Rehabilitation unit, where he spent two years guiding clients through intensive recovery. Since 2020, Derek has served with Vancouver Coastal Health Home Health, bringing goal-focused rehabilitation directly to clients’ homes throughout Surrey, Delta, White Rock, and surrounding communities.
